If you’ve studied your Bible diligently, one way to really use that knowledge and share the Word is to teach Bible study classes. While not required, a certificate can help brush up your teaching skills, and give you an up on your resume. There are many online courses and universities that offer certification.
You can also volunteer to teach classes at your church, or offer a course at an adult education center. Look for pre-prepared syllabi online, or develop your own. Many sites offer teaching aids and lesson plans.
If you are interested in entering the ministry, consider getting a master’s or PhD. in religion and religious studies. Learning Greek or Latin is an excellent way to read the Bible in earlier translations and develop a stronger connection with God. You will also be able to read source materials from the early days of the church and understand how the original church developed and grew.
